by exploring all avenues to help them achieve their goals. "

Mindy Ostrom, MSPT

Mindy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia and a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Emory University in Atlanta. She is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program at the University of St. Augustine in Florida.

She has specialized in pediatrics since 2000 and has experience in a variety of settings, from inpatient acute care of neonates and infants to adolescent sports medicine “kids” on the field and everyone in between. She has had advanced training in the NICU, as well as serial casting and taping techniques.

She currently treats children in Intown Atlanta, and she loves being active outdoors with her friends and her son. She is also an active scuba diver and hiker, loves photography, working game nights for the Atlanta Hawks, travelling, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and reading.

Focusing on What is

Best for the Kids

We believe that above everything else, a kid is a kid and we want our intervention techniques to reflect that. We provide physical and occupational therapy for children ages 0 to 21 only in the natural environment.

At Game Support PT, we focus our treatment plans on what is important to each child and his or her family. We emphasize community integration for our developmental kids. We downplay the medical aspect of needing therapy and play up the PLAY in getting therapy!

The emphasis for our sports kids is on getting back to play as soon as possible while minimizing the risk of re-injury and on home programs for overall injury prevention. The concept of the natural environment is utilized during rehabilitation for our sports kids by having treatment sessions at home, at performance centers, and on the field.
